Privacy Policy

As of: 2024-10-18

Stil Salon is committed to providing quality services to you. Our Privacy Policy (the "Policy") outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your personal information (the "Information").

The lastest version of our Privacy Policy is available to read on our website - visit https://www.stilsalon.au/privacy.html

We have adopted the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (the "Principles") contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the "Act"). The Principles govern how we collect, use, disclose, store, secure, and dispose of your information. In this Policy we will refer to the thirteen Principles by the tags APP 1 to APP 13.

A copy of the act and principles can be obtained from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au

What information do we collect

We divide the information we collect from you into mandatory, information that you must supply to us, and optional information, that you can choose not to supply without affecting the service you receive from us. Mandatory information is confined to your name and telephone number. Optional information includes your email address.

Why do we collect it?

We collect mandatory information so that we can identify you in our booking system. And, in addition, so that we can contact you to send you notifications (booking confirmations and reminders) and to reply to your queries. We collect visual recordings for marketing the Salon online, but only if you consent to this by signing a release form, described in our T&C. We do not collect any information for the purpose of onselling it or subscribing you to marketing from other companies.

In addition, our booking and payment systems (Square) are a third-party platform we use. They will collect your financial details, such as your credit card. The Salon does not save your financial details - that is to say we do not keep them on file.

How do we collect it?

We collect information from a number of sources - from what you enter into our systems and what you directly tell us.

Sensitive information

Sensitive information refers to certain types of information that requires additional privacy controls, as notes in APP 1. We do not collect such information.
